Rahul Vyas
Rahul Vyas is an award-winning American artist of Indian origin. He received awards and recognition in his native India before moving to the United States in 1991 to pursue his master's degree in Computer Science. Today, Rahul's work is held in private collections and shown in prominent galleries across the United States and the globe.
Rahul's love of wildlife and nature manifested itself in his early work, which featured realistic depictions of lions, tigers, and birds of prey. In 2004, some of his work was selected for presentation at the San Francisco Art Institute by the world's foremost wildlife artist, Robert Bateman. After 2007, Rahul began exploring abstract and contemporary styles, incorporating his prior wildlife experience to create striking and unique works. Today, his primary focus is deconstructing natural forms to create a structural, primal, and highly stylized depiction of animal and human bodies, both dynamic and static.
Rahul resides in the Dallas, TX area with his wife and two children.
