I love the Acacia tree. The way it branches generates beautiful composition opportunities, playing with the negative space.The Acacia genus of trees has more than thousand different varieties. I have not been fortunate enough to travel to Africa yet but have spent a lot of time in Hawaii home to Acacia Koa, Hawaii's most common native tree. When I planned an Acacia tree painting I had to include an elegant, beautiful cat with golden yellow shiny coat. Painting needs a few more passes to tie everything together.
