Togetherness II
Pencil on paper (24"x30") 1995. Colorado Springs CO.

This is my favorite artwork. I took pictures of some horses in a rest area while moving to Colorado Springs. Although those horses were no where close to what I have drawn. I borrowed their skeletal characteristics and then completely changed them by adding patches and wind in the hair etc. I used a brown pencil to add some color and rest all is done with B grade pencils. I named this and the deer painting as Togetherness because both of them show the true meaning of togetherness. It shows how comfortable they are in each other's company. And fully assured that one can't exist without the other. Males are strong and cool while females are relaxed and content.
