The five human senses – sight, sound, smell, taste and touch – work
together to take us through this journey called ‘life’. Without
their close kinship, this
journey would not be the wholesome experience it should be.
Sometimes a sense
will try, unsuccessfully, to break away from the clan, while at
other times,
all will pull together to compensate for the weakness of one.
The thing that
never changes is their togetherness.
It’s the
fine balance of staying together and the need
to explore more outside of the confines of the rules and
regulations depicted
by the blue ring that binds them together. There is a Sanskrit
saying "Ati
sarvatra varjayte"
meaning over indulgence is always bad. In a similar way one
should control the
five senses to enjoy this wonderful life.
