In this sketch I show a Great Blue Heron in a strikingly unusual pose. It seems that this particular GBH wanted to get a portrait done and decided to pose. Slightly open beak, slightly open wings to show the beauty of his plummage and tail stretched diagonally in line with the beak generated a very nice composition.
